Grown at an altitude of 1 900 m, this Mita Arabica has a medium body and an interesting acidity, accompanied by floral notes and citrus aromas reminiscent of orange and bergamot.
Sidamo is one of three regions (along with Harar and Irgashefe) that have won widespread recognition for the excellent quality of their coffee. Both natural and wet-processed coffees are produced in Sidamo and are extremely popular with those who love the fruity characteristics of coffee and the intense aroma.
The region was formed after Ethiopia gained independence from Italy in 1942. It is named after a local tribe called Sidama. Some of the highest growing coffees in Ethiopia are grown in this region.
